Founder- Osheen Murab

Osheen Murab is a visionary social entrepreneur and the founder of Handmade Heritage Pvt. Ltd. and Livelihood and Beyond Foundation, dedicated to reviving India’s traditional crafts. Hailing from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Osheen leads efforts to preserve the 200-year-old wooden toy-making heritage of Budhni by empowering artisans with training, modern tools, and sustainable market access.

With a background in BBA.LLB (Hons) and a Master’s in Social Work, Osheen combines her academic expertise with a deep passion for community development. Her initiatives have created livelihoods for over 350 artisans, bridging the gap between tradition and modernity. Recognized among the “51 Most Influential Women of Madhya Pradesh” and honoured with the 100 Women of India - India Prime Award, Osheen’s work continues to inspire change, preserve heritage, and foster economic empowerment.

Pooja Manjhi - Painting & Design Head

Pooja Manjhi, our talented Painting & Design Head, hails from Budhni. A master of her craft, she brings unmatched creativity and precision to every design she creates. As our lead designer, she blends traditional artistry with contemporary aesthetics, ensuring each piece tells a unique story. Her deep connection to Budhni’s heritage and her love for painting make her an integral part of our journey to preserve and promote this timeless craft.

Deeksha Manjhi - Production Head
Deeksha Manjhi, our dynamic Cluster Development Executive and Production Head from Budhni, is known for her creativity and excellent organizational skills. She ensures smooth coordination between artisans and production processes, driving innovation while preserving the essence of traditional craftsmanship. Her dedication to empowering her community and her ability to bring structure to complex processes make her a cornerstone of our mission to revive and sustain Budhni’s rich wooden toy heritage.

Ragini Manjhi - Head of Operations

Ragini Manjhi, our Head of Operations, is a native of Budhni and ensures that every aspect of our operations runs seamlessly, from production schedules to logistics, all while maintaining a deep commitment to quality and efficiency. An avid reader, Ragini draws inspiration from both her inner peace and the stories she explores in books. Her thoughtful approach and dedication to preserving Budhni’s wooden toy-making legacy make her an invaluable part of our team.

Onisha Murab - Partnership and Strategic Head

An alumna of Miranda House, Delhi University, Onisha Murab is an advocate for sustaining traditional art forms in contemporary contexts, a pursuit that has shaped her practice and inspired the foundation of Handmade Heritage.

With extensive experience working with national and international organizations, Onisha has contributed to initiatives that bridge cultural heritage and contemporary design. She has collaborated with startups to craft impactful marketing and design strategies and worked with art galleries and cultural institutions to plan logistics and curate thematic storytelling.
